Amp for Morel Tempo's, Need some opinions.

Hifonics HFi100.2 (HFi 100.2)

Found this cheap amp at a local store, The RMS Wattage of the speakers is 120watts RMS and this amp pushed 100watts x 2 Channels at 4OHM so I am thinking this might be a nice little amp to get. I don't want to spend money for a high quality amp, Just want to get these speakers amped so I hear what the REALLY sound like hooked up to an actual amp.

Thumbs up

It's not the best, it's not the worst.....it will definitely be a serious upgrade from the deck power tho.

If you can get it cheap with a warranty, by all means try it out.....you can never have too many amps.....

I hope you are allowing some $$ for the extra's you need to put an amp in.....power and ground wire, fuse holder and fuse, RCAs etc. They can add up pretty quick.....

Yeah I will need a basic 8AWG amp kit, Something like this interests me.

Rockford Fosgate 8 AWG Amp Installation Kit

NOTE: I forgot to mention, I really don't plan on buying a subwoofer, I am hoping with an amp and maybe some B-Quiet material will help a lot to get my speakers more "Punchy".

The speakers are great for electronic music, But with rock they need some more bass and I hope an amp + B-Quiet material will help give me what I want, Don't have money for a sub...

If you get 8awg and change your mind, you will have to change your wiring again.
That amp looks really nice IMO. I would of course suggest the 4 channel because I always suggest 4 channels. Once again for "upgradibility" you could use your set active with it, the new lines from hifonics have decent xovers in them.

You are probably right about the 8AWG wire, I may as well run 4AWG and run 2 sets of RCA and another ground in case I purchase an amp and a woofer.

This way I would already be setup for the stuff, instead of running the RCA's and ground all over again.

or you could go to future shop and ask about that expensive mtx amp
jk

that amp seems decent but I would also push for the 4gauge instead of 8 and a 4 channel I think would be the better option

sx4life - I could get that 4channel amp, And like you said there's not much price difference.

So 100watts per speaker for my fronts and maybe a 200watt RMS sub. Maybe a 10" or something.

What do you think? I don't want huge amount of bass and I want a sealed enclosure.

I think that's going to be the plan.

Think I would have to set it to "3" on the amp for 3 channels and connect the front components to channel 1 & 2, and bridge the sub on channel 3 & 4.

This is the better way to go, You are right about the 4channel amps :-].
