I'm in need of a 6000w rms amp, have been looking around, but wanted other input as to what amplifiers around this size are prefered and have a good track record of few issues, any info is appreciated.

 

To do what with?.....

 

gonna be running 8 12" kicker cvx's, so need 6000w rms or more for an amplifier for my project

 

Crown/JBL make a 6KW beastie that even looks cool......

Might be cheaper to find 4 that do 1.5KW each.....don't know what the budget is but either way it's gonna cost a bunch.....

I hope you've got some help under the hood, I don't think the factory alt is up to this task.....

Post pics as you go please, I haven't seen that many subs in one vehicle in a while.....

 

No prob, same here, been awhile since any bigger multi sub projects have been built. I'll post what I can as it comes along.

 

I too would head the multiple amp route over one big one but the choice is yours. What are your thoughts on it?

 

i'm thinking no more than 2 amps though, enclosure takes up most of the space, limited on space for amps
