Amp tuning ?

I wanted to know what will be the best way to tune my amp so i can get the most out of it ( Hifonics BXI-2008D ) Wired down to 1 ohm

I have two Kicker L7 12's in a 4 Cube - box ( ported )

I currently have the HU setup on the sub woofer like this -

Phase- Normal
Hertz - 125 ( What does hertz mean and whats the difference if i set the hertz to 50 , 80 or 125 ?

Amp Setup.

Gain - 55%
Sub Sonic - between 25 hertz i guess ?
Phase - Dont know what that is ???

What else is there i can do to get the most out of my amp and subs ?
Or is the tune just right ?

I listen to Bass Hip hop but usually House , Progressive House music .

Set your sub crossovers to 80hz and set HP for fronts/rears to 80 also. 125 is pretty high.
