amp wiring question
I have a 2 channel Lanzar MXA282 amp (i know its cheap, it's just for now) that i am going to use to power my two pioneer 3002D2 12 inch DVC 2Ohm subs (1000w rms each). Should i wire the subs to the amp and use the channels separately at 4ohm (2x 4ohm), or should i wire the subs together and bridge the amp so the amp is powering both DVC subs at 1x 2Ohm?
Which set up would provide more power? Thanks.

Ok theoretically the amp could handle it...If the amp is bridged to power 2 DVC subs at 2 ohm (1x2Ohm), will the speakers be getting more power than if the speakers were wired seperatly at 2x4ohm.
Also why would the amp blow if it were wired at 1x2ohm. would there be to much draw?

You would be forcing the amp to put out more power than it capable of doing safely. My guess is that amp isnt stable to bridge to a 2 ohm load. You could give it a shot and see if it will work without going into protect mode. Watch for heat you could burn it up pretty quick.
I dont know the specs on ur amp, but most everyday 2 channel amps dont run 2 ohms bridged and assuming thats the case with urs. Try it and see but dont get ur hopes up.

Ok, so currently i have each DVC sub wired at 4 OHM per sub. Each is wired to it's own channel. However, wanted to wire them to 1x4ohm i connect the two subs positive and negative leads together and got 2Ohm. I tried it once and it worked fine, but i just wanted to make sure it would not hurt the subs. There is a pic below of how it was bridged at 1X2ohm.
Also, how would i wire the two DVC subs for 1x4Ohm? Is it impossible?
