Ample Audio Component Speakers

Hi all,

My first post, and hopefully a pretty specific question for you all. I recently bought a Subaru 2.5i which is in dire need to a sound system upgrade, so I visited what appears to be a well regarded local installer to see what they would suggest. And what they suggested was Ample Audio Exonic500 component speakers for the front doors. Pretty well didn't offer any other choices, though he did say they could intall Alpine, but suggested they wouldn't be as good.

I've tried to find information on these speakers, but there doesn't seem to be much out there. It does appear that the markup they have it at least 200% over US prices, if not more. Perhaps I can haggle the price down, but I really can't tell whether these speakers are good, or should be avoided. Or if I should try to find another installer.

Thoughts?

Much Appreciated,
Creosote.

Talking

Sounds like a guy on a mission.....there are quite a few shops in the west end of the GTA.....take a CD with you and go visit a few, including FS and BB, and let your ears decide which ones sound best to you.

Not saying there is anything wrong with Ample, but there are other brands out there and if he won't or can't let you listen to others, take your business elsewhere.

My $.02 worth
