any comments? help?

i am looking to change the subs in the my 03' liberty.and i have a couple of options. i currently run 2 10" soundstream spl subs. i have the options of going to 1 15" soundstream spl. i also can go to 2 12" phoenix gold xs sries dual vc sub. or i can go to 2 competition visonik 10" subs, althought i have never heard of this company so i am a little weary. i would like to buy used since i frequently change vehicles and system options, i do not want to pay retail for brand new equipment. any opinions or sugestions would be appreiciated. thanks

Why buy used with zero warranty when you can purchase new for not much more? Buy it once and keep it. Buy it used and get that box built for the used subs, blow the used subs and then not only do you buy new subs again, but you are also rebuilding the sub box.

Out of the options you mentioned the PG is the way I would go. However I agree with MR2NR

i build the box myself, and for all of these options i am looking at about 100-200 each, so it's coinsiderably less that buying brand new. onc i settle on a vehicle that i am going to keep tan i will buy a system and do a custom install until that i will not spend money to lose money. keep in mind also that i have a 1300 watt infinity amp. i am weary of the pg subs becuz they are only rated at 250rms, i would like to use the amp to it's potential. any other comments would be helpful though

Sorry about that my Crystal ball is in the shop.

You should also have stated what amp you are running and model number. Because you are the one that told us which subs you had to choose from. I would have assumed that if you did not think the PG's were a good fit then would have have eliminated them from your list yourself. Also at the price of 100-200 each you can buy new no problem at all.

Lets start again. Please state the model of amp and the model of the subs that are "Suitable" that you are questioning, so we can give proper advice.

I have personally used Visonik subs and amps, and loved them. The single 10" sub i had was the best 10" i have heard so far. I have also used a 12" that was one step down from the 10 that i had and was absolutely disapointed with it. Make sure it is a decent model of sub if u go with Visonik. Their good stuff is amazing, but their lower end stuff is useless.
I have also used the PG XS series and wasnt too impressed with them, although at the time i was running a PG Octane R 5.0.1 amp to them, which isnt something PG should ever be proud of making. lol
I have, (and still do now and then for testing purposes), used a Soundstream SPL15 and was quite impressed with it.
As much as this might sound like a sales pitch, but keep in mind i am in no way affiliated with them, I would get a Resolution Audio 15. I say this because they are within your price range, they work great on virtually any power level, they work in small and large boxes (ported or sealed), and so far the most impressive sub i have used.
The only way i know how to get them so far is through Smartass, so if you decide to go that route, i would contact him.

ok this just in, a buddy sold the visoniks on me, not a big deal, i thik i'm going to turn down the pg's. but the 15" spl is still available. as well i could pick up 4 10" clarion sw10x single vc subs for 250 cash. i looked into bassworx 12's but to get them brand new i am looking at well over 500 with a box plus tax, to be honest i don't want t spend that muhc until i find the car i will drivew for ore than 6 months and then i will do a custom install.
