Do you have an amp that will power them or are you going off a deck or stock stero power?

I've had them and heard them, didn't like them at all, didn't like to play very low and the tweeters made my ears bleed, very harsh sounding to me....but if you like that sound, they did take a decent beating.

In my opinion, THESE sound ten times better than the infinity reference series and with a little shopping can be found right around the $200 mark.

or save a little and get some of THESE for yet another step up.

Used them quite a bit. Great product for the price, particularly off ebay..I've seen them for under 100.00! Anyway, they can sound really good if set up properly. I found the tweeters too dull for my liking, they're silk domes, but that depends on your taste and what type of music you listen to. They're well built and get plenty loud. As with all my advice, I suggest you go listen to as many sets of speakers as you can. Speakers in particular as very listener specific, and what's bright to one person, can be dull to another. Just a note, if you're shopping online, there are quite a few really good speaker sets for around 200.00, though you'd have to figure the shipping, taxes, duty etc., will add another $40-60.00. Just a few I've come across, Infinity perfects 5.1, 6.1, diamond audio s600, Polk momo, Alpine spx ref as noted, DLS rs6, Boston sl60, DLS rs6, JBL power series, just to name a few. Check Sonic Electronics website. I currently have Infinity Kappa 60.7's and I like them a lot. They're good to around 50 hz, which is fine, since I expect my subs to do there part below that. They're very clean and bright, and handle a lot of power with virtually no distortion...which is what I like, and they are 2ohm impedance, so I can put double the power from my amp to them as compared to 4ohm speakers. I paid 140.00 on ebay last year.

Alot of people like PG RSD's, can be had for pretty cheep and apprently have great midbase.

You won't find many comps at 2ohms, SQ wise doubt you would hear any diff.
