I never go to shop's anymore for install. You can do this yourself have faith! However if its a bitch of a car to work in then maybe you will need some help.

Also, I'm needing to buy a deck and I can get really good deals at stuff at bestbut so I was thinking of one of the middle-end pioneers. Does Pioneer still make good decks??
SORRY HOLLY . I'm Blind and did not see the name in the title and thread title hahah. O h man woke up at 6am to drop buddy and his gf off at the train station so still kinda sleepy.
W0w thats an expensive car to work on.............I've only done install in a civic a mazda mpv, mazda protoge, and Honda accord. I wouldn't say i have the best experience in the world but I might want to help you if its not too hard looking.
If im in the area which you are which i believe is north york if my memory severs me correct I will drop you a pm.

I would almost die to work on this, as I own a lancer ralliart and WANT the evo!!! lol...But im in KW..Pioneer decks for the most part, I have had nothing but bad experiences!! they all skip!!! ALpine is the way to go, I run a panasonic, but its for a totally diff. reason!!!

Because it's such an expensive car I don't really want to risk fiddling with something and then having the car explode
Luckily, the layout of the interior is almost exactly the same as any lancer. For that reason I don't think it should be too difficult. I am in North York, so if you can make it out to help please let me know!!

Also about the Pioneer deck. I can grab a new one at bestbuy for like 130 bucks so I might just do it anyway. I have always run Alpine but I can't get a good deal on one and I just plan on having this unit until I get enough $ for a navigation system so I think it should be ok for a few months, no?

Honestly... even with the discounts I'm getting it's gonna cost about 300 bucks for a deck and 4 gauge wiring kit...
It's money I'm already reluctant to spend and I know installs can get up to around 100 or 150 bucks. I just don't have that kind of money right now... I do realize that the install should be done right but I was hoping I could find someone experienced to help me with it. Luckily my friend from BC is back and he can help me anytime so I'll probably take him up on his offer.
As for the car... it's not imported. It has and will forever have US plates. I'm only here for about another half a year and I'm just driving it around with an american license because I'm half American. This is the only way you can own the car in Canada... sadly

Yeah that sweet ride, I could've installed the stuff for lunch @ McDicks and of course a ride in the EVo. However I live too far away.

I really like your car, only thing I don't like(I don't mean to be rude) is the downforce generator Bs things on top where your antenna is!! Other then that !!! nice, and yeah you should be laughing to install, they are simple, lots of places to run wire in a lancer (which I think is the same body and hole points), and the deck to run, is simple
