Question

I have seen the ads for these devices, claiming 400 amps for 8 seconds etc... Does anyone have any experience with them, are they worth the money($200-$300)? Do they work as promissed?

I have only seen one fail and it was due to bad installation. They do work the smallest batcap can start a car no problem. They can help quite a bit if you are pulling too much power from your battery, however fro the price I would only get it if space is a worry cause you can get a hawker 1700 or a yellow top for that money and since these are normal size batteries it will be easier to sell them in the future.

Noticed that you are from Woodbridge same here, I wonder if ive seen you around before.

They are a (small) plain jain lead-acid batt with 6 2v cells in series.....

I guess you can buy the same cells they use and build your own for alot less money..... (search on carsound)...

Id probably just buy an orbital from can tire..
