Anyone want some work?

Okay, my 1999 honda civic sounds like pure crap,
I got these small JBL speakers in the front and two phillips 6x9 speakers in the back.
I'm gong to buy satellite radio for the car and my setup is unacceptable.

I have a $80 sony deck but sounds the same as my $300 alpine deck before got stolen.

I use to have a huge alpine x in the back also when everything got stolen.

A) I want a sound system that sounds good since by front and back speakers just sound like probably because I butchered them in there.

B) I don't need a crap load of bass but I do enjoy good bass, but don't want a sub.

C) I got a budget of $500-$800 to renew everything.

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some tips and if anyone want to tell me exactly what to buy and install everything for a few bucks?

Thanks!!!

First thing with that budget and NOT wanting a sub.... DEADEN your doors. Be it with Dynamat Extreme or some other manufacturer it will help most in getting good bass response from your front speakers.

A dynamat Extreme door kit is about $80-100.

Deadening is something that while it should be done, it can be done at any time. That should read as use those $ right now to buy better speakers rather than have to settle for a step down speakers and deadener. With that budget I know I can supply you with some great equipment and I am sure that one of the guys on the site who is close to you would be happy to tackle the install.
