I heard a rumor that the new Arc Audio PS8 uber-processor will have an MSRP above $3500?
Holy crap! Can anyone even begin to confirm/deny this?

 

very doubtful it should be price in the same range as the bitone, h800... if not oh well they shot themselves in the foot.

 

lpchouinard, I agree bro...one of the great things that makes our hobby enjoyable is having access to high quality products that can make everybody competitive.
Of course many of the components we decide to buy are expensive, and this hobby overall can rack up the bills, but having a processor alone in the $3500+ price range really seems nuts to me.

 

Pricing will be in the same ballpark as all the other units.

I'm already in line for one ( spring, summer I would guess).

 

PS8 = Playstation ms8?? Hmmm, lots of brainstorming on the name

Im glad that ARC is taking their time regarding this product, I heard it has been in the pipe for quite some time. I would hate to see folks in line/early adopters have issues with this product like the f'in nightmare some people initially gad with the Alpine H800. Dont get me wrong, I love Alpine products, but reading threads on the H800 made me balk at picking up that processor early.

 

Yup, even if i'm running the P01, i want one...
