Has anyone heard or heard of things about this sub? Seen it on ascendant audio's site and it looks pretty mean.

I had a bad experiene with Ascendant audio. I tried to purchase an Avalanche when they were clearing them all out about 6 months ago. They took my creditcard information and gave me a shipment date of a couple weeks down the road. A couple weeks later I call for an update, and it hasn't shipped, apparently they were shipped the wrong size dustcaps. No problem, it was supposed to ship out the following monday. I call the next week, and now they are waiting for glue for the duscaps. Whatever, the sub was a great deal, I can wait. It was supposed to ship out about a week late. I call back a couple weeks later and it still hasn't shipped. But he's going to ship all of the Canadian orders out first thing Monday, so I guess that works. All in all after 4 months of them dicking me around I finally cancelled my order.

 

That sucks, i'd be so riled to get an awesome sub like an avalanche to, wouldn't be able to wait a week ha.

 

I was just looking at their stuff again and some of it looks pretty amazing for the price though.

 

How much are the havoc(15") subs gonna cost? do you know?

 

Yes, that's what was kind of shady about my dealings with them. They told more than one person that they were the ones getting the last driver, and then I call a few days later and they said they still had some available. I assumed this meant built, etc but I guess not.

 

I was looking at their new line, $95 each for their entry level Assassin subs, looks like a steal (well for americans that is) but still. I was gonna pick up another ED 13k, but at this price ..might pick up 2 and give them a try.
