Audiobaun Versus Audison Which Is Better?
We sell both Audison and Audiobahn, at the shop I've been working with (business/strategy consulting)...
I definitely concur... Audiobahn is flashy, looks cool - if I were doing a show car whose emphasis wasn't on acoustical merit as much as it was visual, Audiobahn would be my first choice. And their stuff doesn't perform badly - but like all entry-level products, you'll see more failures, some issues here and there, and definitely "optimistic" specs and ratings.
On the other hand, Audison goes the other way.
the SRx's are nothing particularly special - but they are nice quality... and IMO, they look sort of ugly. I personally think their high-end VRx's look damn sexy - while looking understated - a word you couldn't dream of using for Audiobahn bling.
I've been going to competitions with our own MDXman, who is running Audison VRx's on his Focal Utopias - and I'll be going with him to IASCA finals, if that tells you anything.
Any Audiobahn systems in attendance at the IASCA finals, for SQ?

The SRx line is a Value Leader (price Vs. quality/features/performance)..
And the LRx line is very well priced for what it is w. tons of included features...Street price on the LRx 1.400 is approx $900 and it's a great 900 W @ 1 ohm class A/B sub amp...buc-a-watt!

Audison is cheap gear
Not sure what people get excited about with the SRX line. I have listened and compared that line with others at half the money and see nothing that Audison has to boast about.
Reputation of the LRX and VRX are great, and in my opinion that is what transfers the reputation to the SRX. SRX has no Value in my opinion.
FUGLY TOO.

If we put the amps in a blind trial, I doubt that anyone here can tell the difference between the two in terms of SQ. I believe that either amp if properly installed will be reliable. However where the differences lie is in build quality. The Audison uses higher grade components with stricter tolerances. What does this equate to? An amp that will preform as good as it does on the first day for the next 10 years.
Another difference to consider is resale value. Try getting your money back on any Audiobahn product... You'll be lucky if you can get half its value.
The last difference which has been brought up already in marketing. Audison markets their product to the high-end market. Those that crave an elegant looks. The Audiobahn stuff is extremely flashy and appeals to teens and others that dig chrome.

^ I dunno, when I first heard of Audison and seen their products, they really appealed to me, and I had no idea at the time who or what they were.
Audiobahn, IMO, is ugly stuff. There just too flashy and they blow up pretty easy from my experience.
Hook up a REAL amplifier to an Audiobahn sub and it won't last a month. Of course that's not totally true, but you get the point.
