Hey everyone! i just have a few questions. Im going to be getting a Audioque aq1200D amplifier. For the wiring, should i get 1/0 gauge wire or 4 gauge wire? And it says that it has 3x40 amp fuses (linked with 240) what does this mean? Also for the fuse holder in the wiring, should i get a 120amp fuse holder or a 240 amp fuse holder? THANKS!

 

1/0 wiring with a 200 or 250A fuse. Make sure you run an extra batt in the trunk. Something small will work just fine. That amp is able to put out 1500rms on good electrical.

you dont need another battery with that amp. just a good one up front will be fine.

 

Negative. It does need proper voltage to get clean power or else it'll send a nasty, clipped signal. A two batt setup is needed to obtain more than rated, clean power.

Ground that rear batt to the frame of the car. Then run a positive wire from the front batt to the rear batt. You are finished. Be sure to run 1/0 wiring for best current flow and charging.

 

you do realize u dont know what you are talking about, right?

you also do realize that having 1 or 100 batteries will make no difference on how clean the signal is, right?

how are you going to obtain more than rated power? i really think you are messing with the guy telling him all this nonesense.

are you really saying that an amp can produce more than rated (or even rated) power when wired at it's lowest rated load? bro, dont be a noob.
