Hey guys just wondering if any of you gonna care to show up this year since their wont be any type of audio comp whatsoever... any of you guys actually in the show? im still contemplating taking the car, but without a iasca sanctioned event i really could care less for it... Would probably be really good for the ricers.. they have best "sport compact" segment, im guessin they just trying to make it into another importfest etc...

battyrida,
Long time no see. Ill be there as I have every year as far as I can remember working at our JL AUDIO booth. The infamous JL AUDIO miniv2 just got here today. It was shipped here on a skid believe it or not (a special steel skid but a skid nonetheless), this is the first and probably the last time itll ever be seen outside the USA.
For those who havent seen or better yet heard this car its absolutely awesome. Definitely a once in lifetime experience for most Canadian consumers since its only here until Sunday and then it goes back to JL AUDIO USA.
Check out JL AUDIOs website to see some cool videos details. I also ripped out the system in our Volvo democar (at least what was in the trunk) and we ll be doing some demos using our entry level amps and your choice of JL enclosures including W1v2 ported prototypes.
The Kicker XRV tractor trailer will arrive some time Thursday straight from another event in Texas with 3 factory demo cars. One is Steve Irby s (owner of Kicker) Nash that was featured on Rides, another is Honda Civic that belongs to Wings West USA and the third is what looks to be a deadly looking Toyota Tundra from KMC wheels USA . All of these cars are top notch.
Comcepts on Wheels will have tons of gear on sale and I think the guys from Korbon, Kankar and Concept will be there supporting the industry as well.
Its true theres no SQ or SPL but theres been very little interest from competitors. At least not enough to make the cost of sanctioning, hiring judges, buying trophies and all the other fun costs involved worthwhile for an indoor show (which have far higher overhead costs) like this. Theyll still be a ton of cars to see and hear. Not to toot my own horn or anything but if I was an enthusiasts, Id go just to hear the miniv2.
Anyhow hope to see you guys there.
