But this thread is about Audison.

I thought that the RF gear was being made in Asia, for quite a few years now?

built or assembled
electronics assembly today is mostly done by machines
most of the electronic parts are probably not made in america

Anything by Audisson is solid gold in my opinion, I'd be more then happy if I had ANYTHING by them at all. Like, amps with a strip of Walnut down the front... you know its HIGH END when.....

when what dognut?, audiobahn amps are chrome are they good, avi amps and the alpine f#1 amps dont have walnut,are they not good, point being dont judge a book by its cover

I never said Rockford was bad, I use rockford on my subs and love it.

I wasn't refering to Rockford Dukk, I was referring to all the amps out there built by half starved chinese kids.

A bad amp = bad rice for dinner

Honestly I don't think we need to go in this direction with this thread do we?

I know you shouldn't judge an amp by its cover, you totally right. I guess if a person knows audisson amps are great, then the walnut adds a nice touch. I really Audisson. Just like McIntosh or Zapco.

The walnut is an option (with exception of the model that comes with it). If someone has the money and likes the look of wood, why not? Manufacturers make whatever sells.

Money talks, bull$*it walks........... old saying.

</font>
Well that's kind of splitting hairs really. Not many semiconductors and such are still made domestically. In a similar fashion, all cars are multinational then as the parts come from across the globe.

A few years back Rockford corp began to source their circuit boards from the far east. The empty boards were shipped to Tempe and all assembly took place there. IMO that is still a domestic amp.

The old Series one like of woofers were manufactured offshore. Whether any of their drivers still are I do not know.

And for the record - I did not state whether I consider a domestic amp as superior or not. Manufacturing processes are similar across the planet so the point of origin matters little to me. I am more concerned with the attitude and goals of the company behind what I buy. That will make the difference in any product.
