Audison or DLS Amp - Which One?

I need a three channel amp to power my speakers. Have narrowed down the front end to either Hybrid Clarus C 61-2 or Hertz HSK 163 (3 way system) and one IDQ12 DVC sub (which I have).

Looking at the Audison SRx3 and the DLS A5.

2 way setup

Audison would give 65w to the front with 350w to the sub

The DLS would give 85w to the front and 500w to the sub.

3 way set up

Audison would give 95w to the front with 350w to the sub (in 2 ohm)

The DLS would give 100w to the front and 500w to the sub.

Any big difference between the two amps?

Looking for advise......

Thanks

Those two amps are not really the same by comparison. SRX is Audison's entry level as far as their amplifier lines goes. The A5, at least from what I understand, is part of the upper tiered products from DLS. They both sound great, but it depends on a few other variables and the end result you are looking for. Budget, features, build components, crossovers, processing...etc are all gonna play a role. Is there a cost difference between them?

The Audison is $690 Canadian (including tax).

The DLS is $525 US or about $800 Canadian (including tax, duty, shipping, exchange rate)

Which one is the best bang for the buck?

DLS would be my pick. I tried the SRX series - Sounded like an overpriced gutless amp.

Hybrid Clarus would be my pick but I'm a little biased.

whichever is cheaper that offers the features and power you want. SQ will be inaudible from the amplifier portion (pure amplification without processing), and quality is very good for both.

Even if you cant hear it, DLS stomps over that Srx in flexibility and features. I prefer A series even over Lrx. I have an A3 and it is one of my best sounding amps. No brainer here.

^^exactly, given the high quality of both brands, I'd just go for the one that best suits my needs and wallet!

My wife's A5 is beautiful. I got it from Zotman late last year. Not sure how often he frequents this forum any more. It's running a pair of MBQ Premium component 6.5's up front, and a 12" Eclipse SW6210.
