my deck has only a 3 way equalizer (low,mid,high). can i turn my lows down a few db or should i buy bass blockers?

 

bass blockers are like a high pass filter. if you dont have that option in ur deck then yes it would be nice to have so u can block some frequencys for the highs. id say around 80 to 100hz depending on the speaker.
