Its too bad the recordings are poo and that they eliminated the bass track to almost inaudible. Go Lars-control freak!!!!

That's right I forgot that. thanks for the correction. Didn't they both throw a fit at Bob Rock, during the mastering process of the black album over the bass level?

1. Dire Straits - Money for Nothing

2. Metallica - Kill 'em All

3. I hate to say it but it's a draw between M.J. - Thriller and Madonna - True Blue

4 Who listens to country anyways?

5 Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing

6 this is so tough... but let's say Metallica - Seek and Destroy... maybe Phantom Lord

7 Wham - Careless Whisper ( no Im not gay... song just sounds awsome on any stereo and the chicks dig it )

Man don't even get me started on the black album, this was the beginning of the decline and it has not looked up since...I still bought all the albums since, but kinda held my head in shame..lol
but yes, during the whole album they threw fits of rage towards everyone, and "were happy"(sense the bs) with the end result.

Big Squeeze fan. XTC is up there too.

I grew up in England listening to new wave.

can't even begin to mention best of. The 80's ruled, 1 out of every 10 songs was good in all genres. These days, I'm lucky if I find 10 decent tracks a year. It's no surprise even the young uns are listening to 80's stuff.

I just looked at the top 5 Yahoo listing of downloaded artists and I had only heard an actual song from one of them (lady gaga).

Since this is a 'time capsule thread' am I the only one who thinks Gwen Stefani is sonically a first generation clone of Lene Lovich?

My favorite concert in 2008 year was the Regeneration Tour -ABC, Human League, Flock of Seagulls, naked Eyes, Belinda Carlisle
