Best amp for a P3?

My P600.1bd burnt, so I'm looking for a new amp. I have a 12' Rockford P3. What would you suggest to get? What power is best suited for a 12' P3? Thanks.

I'm not too familiar with the newer P3's but my older P3 rated at 500 rms took 632 rms from my old JL 500/1 all day long. JL 500/1 is an awesome amp. One of the best I've ever owned. Excellent xover/sub control. Not the cheapest amp though .... well worth it. Many on Ebay for not bad $$$

Exactly, before I can put some numbers out there on amplifiers, the coil arrangement is a must know and the quality or kwality of the amp is a must know, the latter determined by your budget....

I'd say $600 or less. Not sure about the coil config.

Here's some info from the box:

2.5" aluminium voice coil former
102 oz double stacked motor structure
500 watts RMS/1000 watts peak

The box should also have the info on voice coil setup......2 sets of connectors on the sub or only 1?

dual voice coil sub or single voice coil and ohms is what people need
