Question Best Amplifier Choice

HI YALL,

I want to setup a new system for my car. I wanna put 1 12" MTX 9500 which has 1000W RMS and 2000W PEAK!!
The Reccommended rms for the amp should be 500-1000W!!
What would be the best amplifier to go with this setup?
MY BUDGET IS AROUND $300 wit shipping for the amp.
(FROM EBAY)

THANX IN ADVANCE

some of the vendors here might be able to hook you up with an amp but remember a real 1000wrms amp isnt going to be super cheap $300 is very low for a solid 1000wrms amp unless you buy used.

is the 9500 a SVC or DVC?

well you want a 2ohm stable mono block there are tons on ebay but I would reccomend buying from a vendor here or an actual store you can go into cause your going to get better service that way.

stay away from cheap brands like legacy, jensen, pyle, pyramid....

If you can work a few night shift quick and get that budget up a little bit definately check out the Alpine Type R mrd-m1005. They are discontinued i do believe so there are some dealers on ebay selling them for about $300-350 CAN plus about 80 bucks for shipping. It is an amazing amp and will fullfill your needs. Its Rated At 1000RMS at 2 ohms and has a peak of 2000W so it fits the bill nicely. Give or take a few dollars but i would say you could have one shipped to your door for about $450 CAN. Definately check it out.

You want an MTX 9500 and an amp for $300? LOL!!!! It sounds like you have the 9500 already though? Don't pay attention to power requirements, when you're jumping up and down going 2000W PEAK 2000W PEAK!!!, it doesn't mean . Firstly, what do you want out of your stereo? Start there, open up your wallet, shop around, read some things on here, before you hand over your hard earned cash for something you could of had similiar output with and wasn't paid for with an arm and a leg. My advice is to ditch the MTX though. I've never heard it, so I can't go further...Anyone else agree, though? How much space do you have? If you want cheap/good subs...get something efficient, around 500W, and get two! MAW-15's are like 80 bones!

I don't know if MTX even makes a dual 2 sub aside from the RFL (possibly). The 9500 is likely either a single 4 or dual 4

Agree with CDN123 $300 will not really get you 1000Wrms un-less its used. Check out the FS section maybe. But $400 plus taxes a few options

Solid 1000 wrms, 2000 max?
Pioneer D3000spl. I've seen 419 U.S. from a very reputable online store.
Ebay might be cheaper, but i wouldn't trust them.
You could call the vendors and see how much in canadian dollars.

The canadian price problem is that pioneer shipped and priced into canada before the canadian dollar went up, so they're stuck with old prices.
