You might want to look at some used stuff on here.
I've gotten' great stuff for cheaper than cheap new gear.

i was going to say WCC by Orion as well for around 600$ u get subs, box, grills and amp built in the back of the box....yet to hear a set but my buddy has some of there stuff at his shop...seems to look nice as well

Really, If i had 600 to spare, i'd spend all of it on a good HU.

What you need is is an All-In-Package deal starter system. Most car audio shops want to sell off stuff that hasn't sold, so they put together package deals. You want something that would be upgradable.

CD/Mp3 HU (most can do RCA front/rear and switch to front/sub which is what you need.)
4 channel amp
Good Door speakers & cheap 6x9's
1 Sub-in-a-box
All wires included.

Run the door speakers off ch 1 & 2, Bridge Ch 3 & 4 for one 4 ohm sub.
Run the rear 6x9s off deck power. Keep the rears at low volume, it's only for fill or people in the back seat.

You'll get a hundred other suggestions on here, then be right back at square one. :ohwell:

haha yeah i'm getting a new car after the summer.. most likely a 01, 02 Grand Prix GTP, and i got the cavalier from my grandpa for $900, 140k, pristine condition, regular checkups and oil changes... so its not that bad

hmm i'm going to check out this Orion WCC stuff, anyone know how it compares to the pio premier and Mach 5?
