Just curious guys, what is the best cheap brand of equipment you have used personally? It can be sub brand, HU, speaks etc...For me, It has to be Jensen, never ever had a problem and I always remember them sounding really good. I had the whole nine yards, deck, co-axials, 6x9s, 12" sub and amps.

Parasound 900A/B amp from WAY back in the day, very low (0.03% THD+N measured with Amber 5500 in 1996) distortion @ 30Wx2?

Pioneer TS-255C 10" subs. 80 bucks a piece retail at Visions, take my Crossfire VR2000D like nothin' (well if I'm careful) and get damn loud, sound pretty decent as well.

Db Drive. I used their entry line for my first setup and it sounded great.

Actually both my brother and I have had very good experience with jensen, my brother has been running their subs and amp for like 5 years now with no problems, and for awhile I ran some jensen subs and a cd changer in my car with good results.

Believe it or not Jensen is one of the larger brands in the states....

I agree somewhat with Rob....When I was in grade 10 I had a Lear Jet cassette deck in my truck and the girls loved the green & red lights.....that piece actually helped me score. LOL
