How much processing abilities do you require and are you willing to add on other processors to do it?

If you don't need much processing abilities in the unit itself the Kenwood is a very nice piece.

Kenwood 8120 for sure, very easy to use and has a lot of great options.

Kenwood forsure. My DNX 8120 is amazing, huge pre-out voltage, and there is a pretty good DSP onboard.

I have looked at the Kenwood unit it's nice but I feel for 2008 it is lacking features... Compared the the AVN5495. I mean if you want to be able to change displays and add custom stuff and open your Garage door go kenwood IMO.. I'll be checking one out today might even put it in the car and play with it a little.

The eclipse is great if you dont want built in crossovers, time aligment, 14 band EQ, built in I-pod control, able to play I-pod Video, 7" screen, built in bluetooth, 2 USB ports, dolby digital 5.1, and the ability to open your garage door.

If you dont consider those features, then yes you are correct the Kenwood lacks useable features.
