Best High end competition Grade subwoofers?

I'm looking at building up a higher end system. I'm a noob when it comes to subwoofers and I was wondering what you guys would reccommend. My budget is around a grand (not including amp and Sub box). The more research I do, the more I come across the JL Audio 10W3v3-4 and the orion HCCA series 4.

What do you guys recommend for the budget I have? This is going into my ford SUV for those wondering.

once you go over 500W RMS for cars to 1000W RMS for trucks. it don't get any louder, after that you need to start thinking of upgrading to a high output alternator with a few big batteries. Power don't come from nowhere, you need to make it.

Stick with a 600W Subwoofer amp, That amp would need around 900w to run like it should and spend some good money on a enclosure built by a professional & answer all his questions accurately.

good sounding subs are getting harder and harder to find
with that budget I would stay away from the so called top 10 list and
go with a JL 10W7........ it will wipe the floor with the other choices
