sorry... I thought you were putting the box together, for securing the sub to the box, #10-32 T nuts or even 1/4" T nuts and a bolt is the best way to go.

And to make it even better, double up the thinkness of the baffle board as it is the weakest part of the box.

k, i'm back from the hardware store and this is what i got - #8 x 1" countersinking deck screw and #10 x 1" pan head wood screw. which would be better? they didn't have pan head deck screws, if there even is such a thing. also, what is baffle board?
