Best way to attach two 1/0 wires together?

Best way to attach two 1/0 wires together?

i have this power cable that's about 6 inches too short from what i need it to be. i have many small peices i can attach to it. what is the best way of joinin the two peices?

someone suggest something quick, i'll probably be doin this tomorrow

fuseholder? 1/0 coupler? 2 ring terminals + nut/bolt?

put 0 awg ring terminals on each end and put a bigass nut and bolt thru the rings

how about a short piece of brass/copper tube w/set screws and some heat shrink?

just solder it together Yuli...u know how to use a torch! and then just use a roll of tape to insulate it

Glue them together
You could also get a power distro block, that would be the more expensive route.

The best way is the same way ring terminals are attached. Crimp/solderable connectors. Crimp first, solder second, then shrink tube it.

We use QuickCable, out of Ontario.

Get a 2/0 crimpable joiner (called "butt splice" - see them at http://www.quickcable.com/12.html ), this allows a little extra room for the solder after it's crimped. Put your shrink tube on first and slide it far as possible, joining cables always leaves uber-hot cables, more so than doing ring terminals. Strip the ends, put in joiner, crimp (twice, once for each cable), then torch and solder that puppy.

Works good.
