Hi there, I was at the SPL show at Visions here in Calgary AB, in August. There was that 163 DB black sprint by certified Radio, does any body know if thats up for grabs? That car was nuts. it had 8 15's in it. how much would it cost for a stereo like that in my mazda you you figure?

To some those amps are priceless, especially consisdering how mint they are. There is no way that car would be anywhere near 163 nowadays.

Ahh I see. Meh, never cared for the XTRs all that terribly much. Might have been the 350 model? I believe that was the fan-cooled one. I found the HCCA-2250 to be more impressive. (sigh) the good ole days of the 'monster' amps where 1000 watts was HUGE! Although it was all class AB power too.

That car was fricking bumping, Damn, it was SOOO nice sounding, I just fell in love with its stereo, I dont know they picked a hurt-bag little firefly or sprint or swift or whaever that thing was but yuck. That was unbelievable, I felt my eardrums literally dance in relation to the subwoofer. incredible. it was hitting some VERY low end frequencies with remarkible ease. The bass, and un-natural and forced as it was, was ear-pleasing to say the least. For you audio gurus, how much would it cost using not so priceless amps to duplicate that?

Man I wish I had 8 15s for my car !
(although I don't think the wife would approve of a wall where the back seat was -lol)
If you went to XS cargo you could probably put something crazy together for around 2 large + tax
4 of those cliff class X amps and 8 MA 15s should get reasonably loud for street beating or SPL if set up properly...
