Anyone ever try sound deadener on a aluminum boat.Just asking. Thought it might help from all the motor vibration. Cause i got a floor in my boat that i have to replace so i thought of laying the bottom of the boat with dynamat, befor i put the floor back on.

I would just use some expanding foam. It ways less, costs less and will give you some extra bouyancy.

Perhaps put deadener just on the mount points for the engine, that might help for the vibrations.

It is under the floating floor is where i want to put the sound deadener.Right on the floor of the boat. I can't put foam under the floor, it will mess with the bouyency(sp) of the boat. Second when water enters the boat from the rain, foam will be taking up all the room, there will be no room for the water. And my boat will sink. Just thought it would be a good idea cause i do allot of trolling and I'm tired of hearing stuff vibrating, i.e paddles, rods, tacklebox.

And for power/Lbs ratio I'm well over so 10lbs of sound deadener wont hurt.
