The Loudspeaker Cookbook by Vance Dickason. A book no one should be without.

so is www.diyaudio.com

I recently read Designing, Building, and Testing Your Own Speaker System with Projects Which was very informative and a good read.

www.solen.ca carries parts and books.
Also www.rawacoustics.com
and www.creativesound.ca both carry raw drivers/parts and kits.

As a follow up.... does anyone know how one could learn about how speakers themselves are designed.

(raw driver, not the box/speaker combo)
