Bose Speaker for a Buick Park ave

Does anyone know where I could buy a new Bose door speaker for my 93 park ave?

Getting a new 1 from the GMC dealership is waaaayyy too much $, & I want to avoid going to the wreckers to dig out a used one.

OR how difficult would it be to just replace it with an after market speaker but still use the Bose amp & enclosure?

Not difficult to replace with aftermarket but Bose sometimes uses different ohm speakers so check what yours are before you get an aftermarket replacement.

I am pretty sure myself that an after market speaker of the same ohms & size will still work just fine, but everyone around here says NO, a Bose will only work with Bose amp.
I will prove them wrong!!
Now that I have some reassurance on this, I would love to find the sound system info, speaker size & ohms before I go ripping the door panels open to find out.
Does anyone know of a good website to check out for this info?
I know the rear speakers are 6X9s.

Good chance your front speakers are a 4.5" 2 or 1ohm fullrange driver with a 3hole mount.

Good luck finding an aftermarket replacement. Since you have to take the panel off anyway to change the speaker, do it now and see what you have to work with. Your best bet will be to buy a pair of 5.25 or 6.5 speakers and make mounting plates for them.

measure the speaker in the other door for impedance. and find a suitable replacement. It may be 2 ohms especially back then. You may not have much choice but to buy from wreaker or new. Imagine the time and effort you will put into searching for a replacement.

Best advice I have ever been given:

1)Remove door panel
2) Remove Bose speaker from Bose enclosure, look at it closely
3) Remove Bose enclosure from door panel
4) Proceed to remove all other items marked Bose and gently set into pile on driveway
5) Add gasoline and/or other such propellant and ignite
