Bought new system....but car is acting up...worth installing?

Hey guys, I bought a system about 3-4 months ago and was planning on installing it when I got everything in, but of course I started to have some car troubles like not starting. I eventually had to replace the alternator, battery, fuel pump, fuel relay, ecu and one other thing (can't remember). I was just wondering if it would be wise to install my equipment. Here is what I currently have.
- 10" SSA DCON
- JBL BTX500.1
- MBQuart DSC480
- Eclipse SC6500

I also have done the BIG3 to prepare for the install. Would my car be able to handle the power? like if install the system will my car just die? or kill the alternator quickly? Just wondering if it's worth my money to install it.

is the car running good now? did those repairs fix the problem? if it seems to be running good and strong id do it. my first car was a 3 cyl sprint ahah.. had a rough idle and a bit of a bottom end rattle.. didnt stop me from putting my system in.. lol

What car are we talking about here? Sounds like you've already replaced the important stuff. LOL Do you plan on keeping the car or are you looking to replace it? If you are going to keep it install the tunes.

lol I mean I would LOVE to install the system. it's a 02 sentra. the only issue I've had with it since it's all been fixed is, once in awhile the car will seem like it's going to stall then it doesn't. I mean it's only 200 bucks to install so no loss. But will that setup be too much for my car?

Using quality wiring, proper grounding, and the BIG 3, you should not have a problem running this system.

BTW, good choice on the DCON

I plan on going to either selective sound in missisauga or ultimate car audio in Oshawa. I'm from courtice so it doesn't really matter to me, as long as the quality of the install is good.

ah, my first priority would be to have a car that runs properly and won't leave me in the middle of the road. Once I'm comfortable with that, then I can spend money on my system. From your posts, it doesn't appear that you're confident of your car's reliability.

you got that amp and sub from me a LOOONG time ago ..it's about time you
had a listen to it

your gonna have some outstanding SQ if that woofer is installed correctly
....make shure it goes in a 1.0cf3 to 1.20cf3 (plus displacements)
ported enclosure tuned in the 30 to 32hz range
the SSA subs do really well tuned low
also make shure you run it at 8ohm like we discussed earlier.....that amp has *****
and is seriously under rated

if you need help with the enclosure design let me know
