im building an abc box. 1 power hx2 with 2 bd1500's, 1 per coil. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with the ports. I want it tuned between 28-32 hz. I am making it 3 cubes, 2 cubes and 1 cube. but my problem im thinking of is port velocity. what can i do to keep it at 5-7% port velocity. I am thinking of 2 4" ports per chamber and 2 connecting. but how long would that have to be? Any other ideas? what about 5" or 6" ports. I want to try to keep the ports as short as possible, 10"-12" give or take.Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought ABC boxes were two chambers generally, the second one being half the volume of the first?

you're right about that. that's what i meant when i said 2 cubic feet of airspace for the one chamber 1 cubic foot of airspace for the second chamber. any idea on how to keep port velocity down with that much power? that sub is going to be moving alot of air.Could someone give me some ports lenghts for different tuning frequencies? thanks guys!

Which sub model # is it , 12" or 15"? Once I have that, I will try to run the numbers.

i know, i know. but the only reason im worried about port noise is because the box is going to be in the cab of my truck. im taking out my center seat and glassing in the box some tv's, my installer, who is actually somewhat of a friend of yours dukk, wants to sink the amps in the glass, i'm more concerned with function over form. btw dukk, was that for 2 4"ports per chamber and 2 connecting or 1 port per chamber, 1 connecting. dukk, maybe you could email or pm me, we know each other too, im from abby.thanks
