XXX15, 95 plymouth neon, enough power (1800rms+)

BUT, i only have approx 3.3 cubed to work with in total, which will be VERY little volume when you take out the sub and port volume

this is just an approx figure. 31 x 15 x 16. i got somehting like that to work with.

i want about 75/25 SPL/SQ and i listen to only rap and hip hop.

i need to make a box design for this.
wat are the disadvantages of this sub in such a small box?
can polyfill compensate for it?
should i jsut go sealed?

lets jsut pretend i didnt say the sealing thing.

anyways, what should i do?
wat should be my tuning frequency?
can someone help me design a box?

Id say go as big as you can sealed and use polyfill. Luckly the XXX series works quite good in sealed boxes.

I had a DD9515d in a small box like that. I tuned it to 35Hz and it sounded great until I turned it up too loud. Then the sub would bottom out and sound like there's a ping pong ball in the dust cap or something fugly.

Throw the specs on a box building computer software program, like Bassbox Pro. 3.3 cubic feet is probably LOTS really. I can help you out, if you provide me with the T/S parimeters

Although I have auditioned the XXX I have not tried it in a small ported design.

IMO, give the guys at RE a call and let them know your intentions and power. They will guide you in the correct path.
