OH jeese, the 240sx are so hard to find. The only ones that I can find are autos. Oh boy. And I will feel sick to my stomach when my blazer sells because it is a vehicle that I know is extremely realiable. I have never had any problems with it. Just change the oil/plugs/gas and it keeps on truckin. But gas is killing me so it must be done.

yup yup i got a 1990 daytona and really like it, exept that its auto, front wheel drive, and i got the damn base production car so it has no *****. But all in all its a awsome little car. I just put in a Ma Audio 800 Watt amp with 2 12" Clif Design 600 watt SQ subs in a simple sealed box and its real impressive to me and there is still a lot of space in the back. O ya n well maybe cuz i paid less than $150 for everything from the seats back ... yea couldnt belive it i just put em in and like less than a hour of play and i already noticed my rear view mirror is about to fall off lol!

Get a daytona wit a V6 :P them have *****, altho i dont think they came with standards....

Ok, first I will get this off my mind: That girl in your sig is %$&@ing HOTT! Haha, and are all daytona's front wheel drive? Do daytonas come with turbos? Do you put much money into keeping your daytona running?

lol thx :P cant remember her name or i would tell you haha...

yea daytona's are only front wheel drive .. but with money they can be rear wheel drive lool
The 4 cyl engines came with turbos ( well most of them) 6 cyl didnt ( i dont think)
and well i have probably spent o i dont know less than $100 on repairs and ive had it for almost a year, altho i do have to do the windshield, brakes, rad flush, and ya... but i bought it with all these problems lol .... only thing i can really say is that with the turbo's you will probably end up having problems with the head gasket sooner or later and that can be a little expensive, thats why i say go for the v6 :P lol

alright, awesome advice, thanks man ...

But I just started thinking of something, if I got a motorcycle or quad I would get insane gas mileage from work and so forth. It would be lots of fun to, but are blazers very good for spl contests? I never even see suv's competing (I mean in the pictures that are posted about the events)

Alrighty. First, the 300zx is a step up from the 240sx. As they were roughly 50-100% more money new than the 240sx (up here $35-55k for a 300zx new, mid 20s to low 30s for a 240sx new) it is my belief that your five grand will buy a 240 in better shape than a 300.

As for space, the 300 is not massive at all but I did get a 9cuft total bandpass with 4 10s into one AND he could still use the cargo cover

The Iroc R/T was the top end Daytona. Only available in 92 and 93 I believe. The Iroc came with V6 or 4cyl turbo and the R/T came with the hot turbo 4cyl.

V6 Daytonas came in stick or auto - member SUX2BU had a V6 5spd and it hauled alright with 300,000+kms on it IMO it is the 'safe' bet for speed and reliability as any turbo motor will potentially have more problems. Fortunately Dodge turbo'd a LOT of cars in the 80s so replacement motors are plentiful and you can find sites like this http://www.thedodgegarage.com/ that lay out how to do damned near anything with one.

Wow, awesome, I think i am going to look into one. 300k and still workin? Sounds like the car for me, thanks duke. And I did not know that the 300zx's were so expensive. I guess they would prolly be a money pit if i bought it in my money range. So thanks for saving me a but load of money too .
