Hey guys, I decided on a few parts for my car (Accent), but I'm not really sure on a few things.

First, I'm 99% sure the deck I'm going to get is the Pioneer DEH-P7500MP. But what does it mean when it was 3 pair pre-outs? Does this mean I can control the volume of the 2 fronts, 2 rears and the sub separately?

Also, since my back speaker (factory) is blown, I was going to replace the two backs and save the fronts for later. Or should I replace the two fronts and disconnect the backs, just leaving the sub in my trunk?

And finally I'm going to get a mono channel amp for the sub.

Oh, and what kind of wiring should I be looking at?

Any comments or suggestions? I'm still a little lost...

Thanks,

Gary

Having 3 pre-outs means you can hook the fronts to an amp, the back to an amp, and the 3rd would be for your sub amp.... or if you had a 4 channel amp your front/back preout would goto that amp, and your 3rd to a seperate sub amp.....with having the sub pre-out you can adjust the bass/freq with an internal setting on the deck, instead of always doing it from the amp...if your putting a sub in, I wouldn't worry to much about the back speakers, cause ur gonna get ur bass from your sub, just replace the fronts with some nice components that way you have a nice sounding front stage, and the sub will give ya a nice thump, I mean if your always gonna be sitting in your back seat then u might want back speakers.. other than that wouldn't worry to much about it.

Generally with decks that have 3 RCA pre-outs, one would be for Front, one for Rear, and one for Sub. The F and R are mainly designated for fading purposes. The Sub-out usually is non-fading and has crossover settings depending on the deck. Through the fader controls I guess it's a way of controlling the F and R volume, although it's not 100% independant.

For the speakers, chuck the back ones for now and upgrade the front ones. Worry about rear fill later, your music should sound in front of you, not behind.

Wiring is wiring, but if you want a good deal, get Knukonceptz stuff. Quality stuff for your dollar, and it's available on-line rather than stores.

Hope this helps.
