Can anyone help me with this 2003 Saturn Vue?

I was thinking of leaving my factory CD player in my 2003 Saturn vue and tap into the back speaker wires somehow and run my Mono Amp that way because it has the Speaker to RCA wire and switch. Should I?

And what would be the best way to tap into the speaker wires through the doors or right by behind the deck some how?

Also would my 400 RMS Watt amp always being on cause a problem down the road?

I Had my factory CD player out just to see if I could get it out without breaking anything not unplugged just unscrewed it from the dash and it was pretty easy also I was going to try to get the door panels off I got abit of the way and stopped afriad I was not going to be able to get it back on after I got it off.

ONe question about the door panels. Do I have to take the whole panel off or just the bottom half to get at the speaker. I did take the plastic part off where the handle is and started to unscrew that one screw and the panel was getting lose but was affraid I wouldn't be able to get it back together and stopped, might have another go at it though if you say I was almost there or something.

buy yourself a Line Output Converter. you can get them from best buy for like under $15 (i believe its made by stinger). take the positive signal from the right door, and the negative signal from the left door and hook it up to the LOC. then run RCA cable from the LOC to your amp

Find a switched source wire and use it to turn on your amp. This way your amp will only be on when your vehicle is on.
