Can anyone help me solve the puzzle?
Amp light was not on when it should have been on.
Then while taking the meter to it, it was on. 12 volts there. checked everything, from battery to sub. Found out it was the subs wiring inside the box.
Took it apart, rewired it back together. Went to turn it on, amp wasnt coming on.
Started over again. was not getting 12 volts. Luckily i had a second run of power from batt going to my trunk that wasnt in use. It was getting 12 volts. SO plugged it in... and now there is no signal across the output going to the sub. Amp is on, but no output.
Checked rcas, i dont know if i checked properly, but one to pin one to casing made sense to me.... no signal to the amp.
Changed RCAs and still nothing.
Switched from Sub preouts to rear preouts.... still no signal.
So where I am at now is.... none of my preouts are working to the best of my knoledge. Maybe im just testing wrong and my amp is just fried. I know there is no signal to the sub from the amp. And neither sub or amp smells even slightly of burning electronics.
Preouts on deck messed?
Amp fried?
Am i just retarded and checking this wrong?
Any help in how i could check on my own would be great! All i can think of is throwin rcas from my amp to a friends sub preouts and seeing if i get a signal.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Yeah you can try that, or if you have an I-pod get the adapter to go into the headphone jack to RCAs and plug it directly into the amp. That will eliminate the deck and RCAs. Still nothing that way it is most likely the amp. If it works then try the outputs from your buddies deck with your RCAs, if it works it is your deck. Still nothing most likely bad RCAs. Give all that a try and post the results. Also list all your gear and car it is in. Sometimes helps.

Nice sub, how do you like it? It is the one with the yellow carbon fiber cone right? I have 2 of the 10s and absolutely love them.

Amp is turning on, the main light is on. Turns off when i turn deck off or car.
ANd i just guessed the product code.
They discontinued the sig series two years before i got this. Its actually the pxw 1252 i think.

promlem solved. appparently it was a case of the being a nidiot syndrome. Sub didnt work because cracked setscrew while wiring back up and came out again.... and no output on amp because im simply retarded.
Thanks guys!
