Blade got bought up, no more car amps although the technology lives on in some home gear. Indigo is maybe the company that bought them.

Indigo was the parent company for Blade, they never bought Blade. Blade was the car audio division, but was shutdown several years back.

AVI makes some high end gear, but they cater mostly to the overseas market. There are a few Canadian dealers here and there. Check them out at http://www.avisound.com

When someone from the General Public asks who is a Canadian Car Audio company, I think they are asking "who in Canada makes car audio product" not "who buys stuff from another country, rebadges it and call it Canadian" or who is a Canadian distributor of Product -- when did the term manufactor cease meaning one had a factory and MADE product rather than buying stuff from overseas and putting a sticker of a Canadian Flag on it?

It is like saying the F150 is an American made truck when it fact it is made in Mexico...

There is nothing wrong with overseas product at all... in fact most equipment is made overseas; however, it is wrong to call it Canadian when it is not made here as a means of encouraging people to buy the product.

exactly, before i decide to buy 2 Avionixx amps, i wanted to know if we had any GOOD canadian car amplifiers.

but i really wanted to know if there was any amplifiers/subwoofer MADE HERE in canada, i would rather pay more $$ and buy canadian stuff that i know will be very good than buying somewhere else like usa or euro who have half the amps/sub made in theirs shop and the other half made from ''made in taiwan'' parts.

thanks
Jack
