Nice to also see how scewed the playing field truly is as well. I don't think FS is paying $60.00 for that unit. The distributors had better start to look at any independent regardless of size as being one large big box comprised of all of the indies and delivering us the exact same pricing.

Trust the big box to further erode margins again. Take Eclipse for example. I had no problems selling cd players at 35 or 40 points. Now that FS has the line it is being continuously advertised at 25 or less. So who is their competitor that they need to blatantely drop margins like this? Another big box store, nope. It is a sad state that when because you are forced to take skinny margins on other heads that it creates a blanket way of doing business for other profitable lines.

The myfi is going to be 399, I wonder is big box will that peice out before any cost drops on it. Too bad there wasn't a direct kickback to sales staff for activation, like with a cell phone. I was almost expecting that originally from both services.

I'm not sure about Sirius but with XM (at least the Pioneer version), there's no difference in the hardware from US to Canada.
Wouldn't it then be best to support the authorized Canadian distributor & then the consumer can decide how they want to activate it?
