we will continue to support the american version and sell off of the canadian one, which is pretty easy seeeing as how everyone coming in wants the american one anyway and there is no problem getting stock
Hey Dave, don't shoot the messenager, beleieve it or not we heard this little rumour from a Vendor and I put it out there to see if anyone else ran into this. I can only suspect that this was started to run fear into the indys that have stock on the gray market eq. As far as FS and BBY picking up Sat Radio everyone here should have seen this coming. Walamart and Canadian Tire will roll out with it and I would not be surprised if Lordco picks it up. Vendors need to make money and the easiest way is the Big Box. The indys had a pretty good run with Sat radio but just like in life, "All good things come to an end". I do NOT agree with it, I think we should start charging more.....anyone who pays 500.00 for an Ipod (with **** sound) has the money for the better things in life. I am very vocal on why some shop feel they need to cut the price down or "add" in installation.

^^^^^^ Nail on the head right there friends and neighbors. I look at the big boxes pretty much like a puppy mill. Crank out as many boxes out the door and make a buck no matter what the cost. Minimal sales training, the flyers, commercials etc. sell for them. Personally, I'm not a big chain retailer sort of person. I like the more personal service you get at a smaller retailer. Funny thing is, most smaller retailers will generally come close to a box store's price if they have to.

I'll also agree with Tim. There was nothing wrong with Sirius or XM as far as a "greymarket" piece. The only thing that was marginal is the way the CRTC views them.... not enough Nickleback I guess or something. I don't see the CRTC whining when I listen to AM radio at night that is coming from the States....
