Question

I am currently running 2 JL amps in my car, the 300/2 and the 500/1. And as of now, I have a power distribution block. Now if I put a stiffening cap into my stereo, do you think that the distribution block is still necessary?
Or coudl I just wire the two amps straight from the cap?

I'm no pro but I'd keep the block, if you have the room. Think it'l be safer no?

It is perfectly safe to use the cap as a distribution point. The closer the cap is to the amps the better so it may cause installation woes doing it this way though.

Even though an amp has a regulated powersupply, I think it still wouldn't hurt to have a cap. You may hear little difference when it comes to the sound, but it will help supply a more steady voltage to the amp, which makes the amp's job a little easier, and keeps the heat down a bit.

So you are saying I can have the 0/2 gauge power cable from the battery to the cap, and the 2 4 gauge power cables running to each amp? That won't cause a problem at all??
