Capacitor (will this be enough?)

Hey folks,

I brought my gear in for the install today and was told that my capacitor won't be enough for my system. I thought I'd ask you guys before I go out and replace it.

I'm running:

Powerbass ASA 800.2
>Eclipse SW8200

Kenwood KAC 8404
>Phoenix Gold RSD6.5cs (front)
>Phoenix Gold RSD6.5 (rear)

The capacitor I bought from Knukonceptz and it's this one:

From the website:
Kompact Kap 1.2 Farad
( Knukonceptz Item #KPK-1.2-K )

Description: The Kompact 1.2 Farad Digital Kapacitor stands in at 4.75" Tall and with a base diameter of 4.75". The Red Digital Display keeps track of your electrical systems vital signs as the 1.2 Farad storage device provides quick bursts of power to your amplifiers. Nickel Silver hardware connects the Kap to the rest of your system.

Help on this would be great

More than enough... mostly because the general consensus is that caps don't do anything

weak.

i was told that this should save my alternator and eliminate some of the electric drops for cabin lighting etc.

unfortunately, it really doesn't help that much. You're much better off using the money to do the "big 3"...just do a search on the forum for the details. You may notice some very slight benefits, but for the cost, you'll get much better results with the big 3.

I definitely should have posted first.

Whoops. I didn't really pay a lot for it (obviously) and I had to order other stuff from the company, so it wasn't a big deal.

I spoke to Sidd (from Sidds) and he said he'd do this for about $50, but recommended that I buy a new battery first. Mine is a piece of $hit. So I'm looking for a Yellow Top Optima now.

Thanks folks

2 cars, same systems, one with cap, one without cap, both with big 3, no difference. Save your money.
