Car alternator

Car alternator

hi everyone!!!!! soon i'm going to buy subs and an amp and i'm wondering if my alternator can take it. I have a 1993 Toyota Camry with 290km on it. so i do not know

gonna have to give more info than that.

what amps, what subs, what kind of wiring etc etc.

It probably isn't enough for the car and the system.....having said that, I'd run with what you have for now and when (not if.... ) it dies get a larger one. Rewinding your old one to a higher output will only work for a while since the extra windings generate so much heat they die younger than they should. If you're planning on keeping the car for a while get a proper one with a larger case....

i would say upgrade the alternator, im running a JLHD750/1 and audison SRX4 in a 99 camry and 350k on it, i just uped my alternator to a 125amp because the factory 1 could handle the load anymore and keep dropping voltage so low my amp's cut off IMO worth the investment
