Is it even worth carrying these? Iknow when I worked at FS we sold less than $2,000 of these a year. And that's at a shop where cheap people gravitate to.

i stock 1 cheap one, 99 retail for the older folk and such, 2000/100=20 tape decks at full margin per year, deck costs 62$, 38$ profit on each plus install and parts, thats around a grand in profit with not that much inventory, not including install

Some really old guys have hundreds of cassettes and are not interested in switching their collection to CD.

I agree, carry one deck from one of the big Japanese brands.
