Just looked at the Sunday ads. Looks like Circuit City has added Kicker to it's lineup. This is obviously good for Kicker as it will expand the userbase. However, when I think of Best Buy and Circuit City audio I think cheap. Not sure how this makes me feel about them adding Kicker to the lineup...

geez its not like those companies have enough pull to influence the manufacturing process. Now if they go into walmart....

Or are you guys worried that people may think you have cheap gear now?

I was going to say that as We () just started to carry the line and if someone comes in to buy subs or amps they'll see the Kicker line and go 'Oh this is another "Big Box" store' because they thought what they saw in Walmart is the products we have here. It's not cool how quite a few brands have gone "Big Box" these past few years.

It is good for Kicker to expand and get into big chains. It makes them more known. I just don't know how I feel about everyone having the gear now. Not like that is a bad thing, and CC isn't a bad place. Now if it goes to Wal-Mar then yes I will be worried that people think my stuff is cheap. lol

pioneer and sony are both at canadian tire, i'm not a big sony fan but pioneer products are still very good and have not suffered from that distribution channel. They usually sell the lower end stuff anyway, so i assume kicker will do the same. As far as circuit city or best buy, they carry good brands and mild to wild products in all their departments( $10000 plasma tvs, $1100 digital cameras etc..) so to carry kicker which I don't think are any better than Rockford fosgate is no big deal unless you are a kicker die hard who wants exclusivity.
