It'll definitely bump with that, but those subs can handle 750 each, and I've seen guys put 1500 to them for 10 minutes with no problem. I just got a Kicker sx-1250 that I'm running to my two type r 12's, and it's loving it. Birth sheet 1420 watts rms!!

the funny thing is ive heard that too, but i previously owned a 12inch type r too and it blew horribly...it was hooked up to a jbl bp1200 though :D very nice sub tho

Well, even though it'll do it. I don't recommend you over power your subs too often or for a long period. Honestly, you would have to be deaf to be able to put up with it. I usually crank it for a little bit and then back off to normal volumes. I like my hearing and after 20 years of car audio, i can still say that my hearing is as good as it gets for a guy my age. It's all due to responsible listening.

Should be possible to do... I have a 98 Civic and I had a pair of 15's in it for a few years... pounded pretty good for sealed boxes.

I had a 98 and what i did was 1 15" orion XTR sub up port along the bottom firing back with a HCCA 225 old school and was verrrrry loud! 2 is cool but 1 in a ported enclosure would be a better choice and buy a sub thats as good as the amp ie Kicker, rockford,DD and an old type r or interfire sub.http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/online/images/smilies/smokin.gif

I have a 15" type R 06 model (way better than the old model) in a 4 cu. ft box tuned 32hz and it gets very loud in my car. Ive also put in a 12" type r in my friends civic box was 2.25 cu ft tuned to 34hz also got loud.
