Hey guys i have recently bought a clarion dpx 1000.2 amplifier and want to know what i can run off of it. Currently i'm running two typs-s 10" alpine subs but they aren't close to powerful enough for this amp so i've been told. Brands makes and models please

 

I'm assuming you have the DPX 1800.2, I couldn't find a 1000.2 model amp.....

You can use your present subs no problem....if they are 4ohm SVC subs that amp will give them lots of clean power. If they don't give you enough boom, try a better box before you buy new subs.

It delivers 1000watts @ 2 ohms bridged. Your type r's, assuming they are the new style, are rated for 500 each. Sounds like a good match. If you want more boom, like the large red guy above stated...look into a better box. If it's still not enough, sell the 10's and get 12's or 15's! Those 10's will get very loud in the right box though.
