Hey Guy's it's been a while I know.
I'm at the point of Soundproofing and reinstalling my Harnesses in the car.
I'm considering running a set of seperates (JBL) up front, I have an option for a set of twin 3" together in the center speaker grill (dash Facing up). I plan on 5" in the kick panels and the tweets on the dash facing up.
Out back a set of 6" components in the back seat area and a sub in the trunk.

My question is What wires do I need to rough in front too back before the interior goes back in (Battery in Trunk)

Are the dash speakers 3"worth the effort?.

With Components front and back to I have two much High ?

Again I'm thinking of a simple effective system. Single Amp OK but twins would be OK too.
Alpine Head unit (Mint Green illumination a must)
Alpine or JBL Amps and speakers

Thanks,
Ron

Hey Wuff:
Nice selections, Just pricing it out .

You mentioned Alpine type R 12 SWR-1242D
For a rear sub, I'm wondering if a 8 or 10 will give me the Rock bass that I need.
12" is a pretty tight fit in the trunk.

Also would a factory JBL style Sub box suffice ? It's nice looking and finishes well
I think Alpine has one as well

Thanks again
Ron

Wow that's gunna be a fast car...almost as fast as my geo tracker....I'm kidding haha I'd keep it simple and clean components in the front so a 6 inch midbass speaker with a tweeter mounted on your dash a set of coax in the rear for fill a 4chan. And mono to power a single type R in the back or somthing. He said himself he's not competeing or anything.

Are you open to options? At the age you are at now I can see why you would default to Alpine and JBL. For myself being much the same age and working in the industry for 22 years, this would not be my personal choice of a system. Have a 69 Cuda Convertable myself... not quite as old as I am....

Sure Im open to options.

What have you got in mind.?

PM me your phone number and I will be glad to call you. I am still posted to Whistler right now as part of the security contingent (yes the athletes are gone but all the gear is not) so I am a little hard to get ahold of during the day (no net access). We can get a solid system figured out for you. My suggestion would be to keep it simple in the back of the car for rear speakers and to channel the savings into better front speakers. If you can squeeze a larger midrange into the kick that is where I would start. How much real estate are you willing to sacrifice in the the rear area? Where are you planning on mounting the amp and does it have a space limitation? Does bluetooth (legal issues in most provinces) and USB/Ipod control interest you?
