clif design sub
#1
Ok so after months of searching sub modelsand everything else that goes with it I just picked up the clif designd sub from XS Carcgo. There has been a few threads about them and maybe I can put some questions to rest. I kept debating it over and over and some of you will say I am crazy for not hearing it first but I amgoing to put together a box (.6 sealed) because I have 30 day exchange.
I chose to go with them first of all because they were only 80 bucks. I know you get what you pay for but I just decided to give it a shot. There specs are just as good as others and since no one could really so bad (or good ) things about them it intrigued me. I had a 12" coustic previous and it was okfor what I want. I figured for the price this just might suit what I am looking for. I want something that was small enclosure and sounded good. I do not blast my stereo and just like a good full sound, I am missing the sub since I took it out about 4 months ago.
At first look they seem to be solid but only that will stand after time. If anyone is interested I will report backonce I have tested it.

I picked the sub up at http://www.xscargo.com/department.ph...=brand&dir=ASC
The website in the manual says www.clifdesigns.com but that site is being updated. For some reson www.cliffdesigns works though. Not sure what that is all about mybe not a legit site?

I used to have 4 $60 JBL subs and they worked perfect for my goals. They outpounded guys with a lot more expensive setups, simply becuase my amps were good and my system design was well thought out. I, like you, didnt want to 'outpound' anyone, I just liked a nice "growl" once in a while.
Its all about what you want from the system.
I think that those subs are probably halfway decent for the price.
I wonder about the CD 1800w mono block amp, myself....$299 for 900w rms?
